Want to know how the development review process works? Curious about the history of the Land Use Code? Are you interested in being more involved in these decisions? A new Citizens’ Planning Academy will provide residents a closer look at how the City of Fort Collins manages development.
Over the course of four interactive sessions, the Citizens’ Planning Academy will give participants a clearer understanding of Fort Collins’ development policy, history, and how residents can engage throughout the planning process. Each class will build upon the previous sessions, culminating in a mock hearing.
The 2017 Citizens’ Planning Academy will take place from 6-8 p.m. each Wednesday, Oct. 11-Nov. 1. Applications are available online at www.fcgov.com/developmentreview and are due Friday, Sept. 22.
Applicants must live within the Fort Collins Growth Management Area; priority is given to those who will attend all four classes. If necessary, participants will be selected by lottery.
