Police Investigate Stabbing on Dudley Way

At 1:31 a.m. on February 1, 2017, Fort Collins Police responded to the 3300 block of Dudley Way for a reported stabbing.

Benny Martinez (DOB 12/30/96) said he had offered to let Keaneu “Dustin” Depe (DOB 08/03/98) and Depe’s girlfriend stay overnight at his home. Martinez and Depe were inside together when a physical altercation occurred between the men. During the fight, Depe reportedly stabbed Martinez. Martinez was transported to Medical Center of the Rockies and Depe was transported to Poudre Valley Hospital for injuries sustained during the incident.

Upon release from the hospital, both were taken into custody by Fort Collins Police and booked into the Larimer County Jail. Martinez was arrested for Possession of a Weapon by a Previous Offender.
