image for press release MAX Construction: McClelland Drive to Close South of Foothills Parkway, March 4 A section of McClelland Drive, just south of Foothills Parkway, will be closed to through traffic beginning March 4 through late April, as crews install a new concrete box culvert in the roadway. Construction start and end dates are subject to change due to unforeseen construction obstacles or extreme weather.

Local access will be provided to adjacent businesses. The closure is expected to last for up to eight weeks. Foothills Parkway will remain open to through traffic. The primary detour for north and southbound traffic will be onto College Avenue; routes will be posted. See page 2 for detour map.

MAX is on the Way! Construction of the MAX system will continue until early 2014, with MAX service beginning in May 2014. MAX will offer passengers rail-like convenience with service every 10 minutes and real-time bus arrival information at each station. Level platform boarding allows wheelchairs, strollers, and bicycles to roll right onto the bus. MAX, the transit system for the Mason Corridor, will connect Downtown Fort Collins, Colorado State University, Midtown and south Fort Collins, providing many new economic redevelopment opportunities near station locations.
