Birds Without Borders

Join the Gardens on Spring Creek, Audubon Rockies, Bird Conservancy of the Rockies, and Trees, Water & People for ¡Aves Sin Fronteras! (Birds Without Borders!) --a FREE bilingual celebration for the community that spotlights migratory birds. This multicultural experience aims to engage our Northern Colorado community (including but not limited to Hispanic or Spanish-speaking families) with nature through migratory birds.

Birds present an exceptional opportunity for people to connect with nature. They capture our imagination with their bright colors, song, and flight. Living in every country on Earth, birds are relevant to all cultures and often travel between cultures as they make their yearly migration. Birds such as the Bullock’s Oriole spend their winters in Central America and fly all the way to Colorado for the summer. Their diverse natural histories and borderless nature make them a powerful way to explore our sense of place at home while deepening global perspectives and cross-cultural connections.

¡Aves Sin Fronteras! will feature wild bird banding demonstrations, bird-themed games and interactive activities, self-guided tours of The Gardens, as well as food and refreshments. Guests will meet scientists and natural resource professionals and learn ways to get involved in conservation around their home and in their community. Bilingual (Spanish/English) staff and resources will be available.

Admission is free and everyone is welcome.
