Dear friends, neighbors and colleagues -

While our celebrations will look different this year, I am excited about the many events planned for Independence Day this weekend. Our Recreation and Neighborhood Services teams, among many others, have worked hard to offer a variety of distanced activities for everyone to enjoy, and the City has partnered with Loveland and Larimer County to end the day with a drive-in fireworks show at The Ranch. More information is included below – I hope you all have a safe and happy Fourth of July.

Take care,

Darin Atteberry, City Manager

Closure Updates from the State
On June 30, 2020, Governor Polis closed Taprooms, Breweries, Wineries, Tasting Rooms, Distilleries, and Bars for dine-in services unless they serve food on-site from a retail food establishment. The order will last 30 days and is intended to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, which has been on the rise in recent weeks. The order goes into effect in the next 48 hours.

Bars may still sell take-out alcohol, and those that do offer food service must follow the restaurant checklist and restrictions to remain open.

Paycheck Protection Program Extension
The U.S. House and Senate expect to pass an extension of the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) to August 8. The application process for the program was set to expire on June 30 with more than $130 billion in allocated funds that remained unused. The online Lender Match can help businesses locate a lender who can process your PPP loan. The SBA also has a PPP tool to review requirements to apply.

Face Coverings & COVID-19 Risk Dashboard

Wearing a face covering is something we all can – and should – do to protect each other. Wearing a face covering, even when you feel healthy, reduces the risk of transmitting the virus to others.

Larimer County Public Health's Risk Dashboard helps community members understand risk and COVID-19 data relevant to our county. The dashboard highlights the early warning indicators used by the Health Department to monitor the health of our hospital systems and COVID-19 case data. Some indicators are updated daily, while hospital data will be updated three times a week.
