Dear friends, neighbors and colleagues -

As we move into the weekend, I want to take a moment to express my appreciation for everyone who continues to provide essential, front-line services for our community. Through a partnership with Elevations Credit Union and the Downtown Development Authority, we have displayed thank you banners around town. I hope you’ll keep an eye out for them on your next trip to work or the grocery store, and find ways to share your gratitude as well.

Take care,

Darin Atteberry, City Manager

Thank You Front Line Workers
Have you spotted the Thank You banners around town? Many in our community are reporting to work while facing enormous uncertainties in health and at home, and we want to recognize their work, their service and the way they keep Fort Collins moving forward during a time like this. Thank you, front line workers, for all that you do--we truly appreciate you!

Special thanks to Elevations Credit Union, the Fort Collins Old Town Square and various City of Fort Collins teams for helping us get these banners displayed around town so we can celebrate our essential and front line workers.

Good News for Utilities Customers in Need
Many are struggling to make ends meet due to business closures and job loss. Fort Collins Utilities will not disconnect service to customers until further notice for non-payment. If you are having difficulty paying your bills, contact us at 970-212-2900 as early as possible to minimize late fees, and so that we can help you make a payment arrangement plan and connect you with our assistance programs:

  • Low-Income Energy Assistance Program (LEAP): Deadline extended to Aug. 31, 2020 or until funds run out (individuals and families with sudden income changes may qualify).
  • Income-Qualified Assistance Program (IQAP): Households that receive LEAP may also qualify for IQAP, which is a reduced electric, water and/or wastewater rate that provides 23% off certain components of these services.
  • Payment Assistance Fund: Receive bill payment assistance two times this program year while not exceeding total program year benefit of $1,500. The program year runs from Oct. 1, 2019 through Sept. 30, 2020.

Would you like to help a neighbor in need? Please consider donating to the Payment Assistance Fund today.
