Dear friends, neighbors and colleagues -

At last night’s City Council Work Session, Larimer County Health Director, Tom Gonzales; President and CEO of Poudre Valley Hospital and Medical Center of the Rockies, Kevin Unger; and President of Banner Health's Western Region, Margot Karsten shared an update on the region’s COVID-19 preparedness and response. I found the conversation enlightening and helpful in understanding our current situation and some of the challenges that remain as we look forward. If you missed it last night, please take some time to watch it online.

Take care,

Darin Atteberry, City Manager

Fort Collins Police Services is proud to welcome four new members to the K9 Unit. Each recently completed a two-month training academy before joining Patrol. The new K9s are all dual-purpose dogs who perform Patrol and Narcotics Detection, which means they are trained to locate and apprehend criminal suspects and trained to locate the odor of illegal drugs. All Fort Collins Police K9s live with their handlers for the duration of their careers and after retirement.
