Bike to Work Day

Every June, Colorado celebrates Bike Month and here in Fort Collins, we love anything that highlights and promotes people who ride bicycles. In 2022, we're back on track with Bike to Work (or Wherever) Day, planned for Wednesday, June 22, 2022 for the 34th year.
We are looking for 4 volunteers to hand out chocolates and give some kudos to folks on Bike to Work (or Wherever) Day!

Where: Old Town Square and Oak Street Plaza

Why: Thank cyclist for walking their bikes in the dismount zones

NoCo Urban Homestead Tour

Volunteer to assist at the ninth annual NoCo Urban Homestead Tour benefitting the Gardens on Spring Creek and Loveland Youth Gardeners on July 30th from 7:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. or 10:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.!

Volunteers will assist at each homestead by checking tickets at the entrance, directing visitors and monitoring visitors as they explore the property. An hour virtual training will be required the week of the event. The training will be record for volunteers who aren’t able to attend.

The mission of this event is to educate the public about a self-sustaining lifestyle that includes growing your own produce, raising bees and backyard animals, season extension, food preservation, re-purposing materials and much more. This year's tour features seven local homesteads in Fort Collins, Loveland and Windsor that demonstrate how these rewarding practices can be achieved in urban backyard settings.

Teen Volunteer Opportunities.
NextGenServe is a teen club for youth ages 11-18. Teens will have the opportunity to volunteer around the City while learning about career opportunities in public service. We have established a club of 12 teens who will join us weekly but we still have room for you! Each project has space for eight additional drop-in volunteers. Supervision and mentoring are provided by screened staff who have experience with teens. Transportation is provided from City Hall to the project sites. Check out the Engage calendar for project dates and details.
