Small Business Features: Cafe Richesse

Be sure to follow Cafe Richesse on Facebook and Instagram.

Cafe Richesse has been growing and roasting coffee since 1993. Their signature coffee, Conquista, is grown right on their family farm in the southern highland state of Bahia, Brazil. The Neves family has always valued sustainable coffee production, using low-impact farming practices while preserving forests to protect wildlife and the microclimate of their land.

"Avoid chains and look into who actually owns the establishment you patronize. Check out their website and social media accounts. If you get a chance to, meet the owners," says owner, Luis Nevez, about ways to support local businesses. "[W]e actually own the land on which our coffee is grown. Back when the family still lived in Brazil, my dad and my uncle bought a coffee farm and about 85% of the coffee we sell comes from there. That makes us one of the very few ground-to-grind coffee company in the United States.

City of Fort Collins and Nosh NoCo Partners to Support Local Restaurants

To promote and support local restaurants, the City of Fort Collins and Nosh NoCo have partnered to offer customers $5 off their take-out and delivery orders February 1-3 when they use code FOCOLOVE.

Nosh is the only local food delivery service in Northern Colorado. When customers use Nosh they are helping restaurants keep more of the profit from each order when compared to other third-party delivery service vendors. Nosh is locally owned by Northern Colorado restaurateurs working to keep food delivery economically sustainable for restaurants while keeping dollars in Northern Colorado.

The City has been covering 10% of the commission costs placed on restaurants. This means that a restaurant pays reduced fees (5% for delivery and 2.5% for takeout orders) to Nosh for taking, processing, and fulfilling orders on the Nosh platform into February 2022 (the exact date is dependent on availability of funding). The City has also been covering the processing fees ($1.99) normally charged to Fort Collins residents placing orders on the Nosh platform.

Restaurants can take advantage of this opportunity and sign up with Nosh for free! Sign up here: http://www.noco.noshdelivery.co/

Customers can take advantage of the $5 off discount, by simply placing an order on noco.noshdelivery.co or by downloading the Nosh Delivery app for free in the App Store or Google Play. Use the promo code FOCOLOVE during checkout.
