Larimer County COVID-19 Guidance for Businesses starting May 17, 2021

Larimer County is aligned with statewide Colorado public health orders and recommendations. There are currently no local public health orders related to COVID-19. Businesses may implement their own policies so long as they are meeting the minimum requirements set forth by the state of Colorado. We're asking all residents to be kind to others and respectful when visiting business establishments as everyone adapts to new requirements and recommendations. For more details, please visit the LCDHE guidance page 

How to get vaccinated: 

The Larimer County Department of Health & Environment has a webpage dedicated to helping residents find information about COVID-19 vaccination and register for an appointment at The direct link to schedule an appointment to get a COVID-19 vaccine is: Individuals may also call LCDHE at 970-498-5500 for assistance scheduling an appointment. Phone assistance is available in English and Spanish. Appointments are currently available for Pfizer and Moderna vaccines at sites in Loveland and Fort Collins.

Fort Collins Utilities Payment Assistance for Commercial Customers

If your business is behind on its bill from Fort Collins Utilities due to the COVID-19 public health emergency, you may be eligible for financial assistance. Fort Collins Utilities has received $469,000 from Platte River Power Authority to directly support our customers in need. 

Commercial customers may request financial assistance for past-due Fort Collins Utilities electric services. 

  • Apply early. Funds are limited, and applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis. 
  • Approved funds will be applied directly to commercial customer accounts as bill credits within seven business days. 
  • One electric account is allowed per application. If your business has multiple accounts, you are welcome to submit multiple applications. 
  • Call 970-212-2900 if you cannot complete the application online 
  • The application deadline is Wednesday, May 19, 2021

What does the new Community Recycling Ordinance mean for your business?

Did you know the Community Recycling Ordinance comes into effect on June 30, 2021? This means all waste haulers in Fort Collins will be required to charge customers for baseline recycling service, including commercial and multi-family locations for the first time. Visit the City’s webpage to learn more about the Ordinance and read the FAQ Sheet to ensure your property is prepared to start recycling!

Sales Tax Updates & New FAQs - also in Spanish

Starting on June 7, 2021, the City of Fort Collins will begin using a new online tax collection and business licensing system called MUNIRevs. In preparation for the transition, the City will not be accepting or processing any new license applications. Please wait until June 7 to submit any license applications.  

Payments will continue to be accepted through the end of May on our current online system.
