Celebrate Economic Development Week with us!

Economic Development looked a lot different in Northern Colorado than is has before. Together we worked with our communities to respond by creating programs and resources to help our community begin to recover. As we share some of these resources in honor of Economic Development Week, May 10-14, 2021, remember you too can help support in our economic recovery! Check out five simple ways to support a small business today at https://forfortcollins.com/

Fort Collins Accounting Services Assistance Program accepting applications

The City of Fort Collins Economic Health Office is awarding mini assistances to small businesses with 20 employees or less to provide small businesses in the City of Fort Collins with accounting services and advice. This funding is from the federal CARES Act to address the impact of COVID-19, so all services provided are required to meet CARES Act funding criteria.

Total assistance funding for this program is $60,000, with each approved business receiving a total of $500 for qualifying services.

The Application opens Monday, May 3, 2021. All applications must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. Friday, May 15, 2021

City of Fort Collins Sales Tax

Starting on June 7, 2021, the City of Fort Collins will begin using a new online tax collection and business licensing system. MUNIRevs will greatly improve the business taxpayer’s experience by allowing businesses to file and pay taxes at any time on any day via an internet connected device.  Businesses will also have on demand access to previously filed tax returns by accessing the system online.  Additionally, businesses will be able to delegate access to their tax professionals to file on their behalf. Businesses will receive additional information, including onboarding, and login details in late May.

In preparation for the transition, the City will not be accepting or processing any new license applications effective May 14th. Please wait until June 7th  to submit any new license applications.

Payments will continue to be accepted through the end of May on our current online system.

For questions or more information please contact the Sales Tax Office at 970-221-6780 or salestax@fcgov.com.
