CARES Accounting Services Assistance Program opens today

The City of Fort Collins Economic Health Office is awarding mini assistances to small businesses with 20 employees or less to provide small businesses in the City of Fort Collins with accounting services and advice. This funding is from the federal CARES Act to address the impact of COVID-19, so all services provided are required to meet CARES Act funding criteria.  

Total assistance funding for this program is $60,000, with each approved business receiving a total of $500 for qualifying services. 

The Application opens Monday, May 3, 2021. All applications must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. Friday, May 15, 2021.

      How to Apply: 

      SBA will begin accepting applications today Monday, May 3, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. MT. The application portal will remain open to any eligible establishment until all funds are exhausted. 

      Applicants can apply for RRF grants through one of three ways: 

      • Through one of the following POS service providers: 
      • Full-Service Vendors providing application submission and automation for current customers: 
      • Participating Vendors providing supporting documentation and knowledge support for current customers:

                Colorado Climber Loan Fund launched

                The CLIMBER (Colorado Loans to Increase Mainstreet Business Economic Recovery) Loan Fund is a statewide program that will provide up to $250 million in working capital loans to Colorado small businesses through 2023. It will promote small businesses recovery, save jobs, and help support the Colorado economy. 

                Lenders, CDFIs, credit unions, and nonprofit lenders can participate and provide loans for their small business customers needing financial assistance. 

                Small businesses with 5-99 employees that were financially stable before the pandemic but now need help to survive may apply for working capital loans between $30,000 and $500,000. Below-market interest rates and a 1-year deferred payment option make the program a secure recovery option for small businesses.

                Highlights from the 2021 Talent Summit

                The Fort Collins Area Chamber of Commerce and Northern Colorado Prospers presented the fourth annual Talent Summit on April 21, 2021.
