Climate Action Plan Newsletter

Happy Earth Day Fort Collins!

We are so lucky here in Fort Collins that the amazing Natural Areas, trails systems, and more offer us direct connection to our planet on a daily basis. And, we know we also can always keep doing our part.

Let's make this day a catalyst to drive action, enthusiasm, and commitment for our climate and environment every day throughout the year. Wondering where to start? This Special Edition of the CAP Newsletter includes the Earth Day activities you can still engage with and a special highlight on the Net Zero Cities conference next week that BizWest is hosting. For more ideas, you can always visit where you can learn about the many activities you can take to make a difference.

Thank you for all you doing to make this such a great community for us today and for future generations,

Lindsay Ex, Climate Program Manager

Earth Day 2021 Schedule of Events

Join Us Next Week for Net Zero Cities
From energy to waste, an increasing number of cities are seeking to achieve aggressive sustainability-related goals. But what does it mean to be “net-zero?” This event will unpack what it means for cities and counties and the reason behind the movement, as well as address implications for the private sector and the regional population at large.

Net Zero Cities, presented by BizWest, will be conducted virtually in 2021, as large in-person gatherings remain impossible during the COVID-19 pandemic. The 2021 virtual event features 8 sessions and over 25 speakers, including remarks from Governor Jared Polis, who will outline his vision for Colorado of being 100 percent powered by renewable energy by 2040.

Net Zero Cities will be held April 27-28 from 7:30 a.m to 12:00 p.m. each day. For more information, or to register, visit the event website at:
