As part of the update process, Utilities formed a Community Working Group (CWG) to provide a forum for thoughtful discussion of potential refinements to the existing policy. The group was composed of community members with varied perspectives on water issues. Through a series of regular meetings, the CWG provided input and helped develop refinements to the Policy update.
A memorandum that documents the CWG process and input was produced for consideration by the Water Board and others. The CWG memorandum (PDF 1.2MB), along with the Water Board recommendations, will be forwarded to the City Council, which has the final responsibility for adopting the revised Water Supply and Demand Management Policy.
