Wildfire Vulnerability#

In 2010, JW Associates completed a watershed wildfire assessment of the Upper CLP watershed (PDF 28MB).

The assessment included identification of zones of concern and an initial screening of potential opportunities and constraints for watershed protection within the zones of concern.

Four stakeholder meetings were held as part of the project to build collaborative support for the assessment. A similar study was conducted in 2011 for the Big Thompson watershed and involved several collaborators.

This forest in Rocky Mountain National Park, part of the Big Thompson watershed, has been severely impacted by the mountain pine beetle.
