The City of Fort Collins is reviewing the floodplain regulations for the Poudre River.

Regulation Options


Three regulation options are being considered:

  • Option #1: Adopt a 0.1 foot-rise floodway
  • Option #2: Prohibit all structures in the 100-year floodplain
  • Option #3: No change to the regulations
  • Other Options: No Adverse Impact, variations of previous options

Public Feedback

The proposed regulations are being analyzed from a perspective that includes the social, economic and environmental considerations of the proposed regulations.
