Installation Process


  • Corix is Utilities' installation partner.

Electric Meters.

Customers will receive a newsletter (PDF 1MB) and postcard (PDF 1.1MB) before their electric meter is scheduled to be changed.

A Corix technician, identified with Corix and City logos on their uniforms, badges and vehicles, will knock on the customer's door before replacing the meter. Customers don't need to be home, but access to the meter is required. Please unlock gates and restrain dogs or put them inside.

What to Expect.

Installation takes a few minutes, with a brief interruption in electric service. During the installation, please make sure any sensitive electronic equipment, such as a personal computer, is turned off. Please notify us in advance about any home medical devices or home business needs. Call (855) 284-1126, Monday - Friday, 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. or Saturday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Once installation is complete, a notice (PDF 556KB) will be left at the door. If installation can't be completed, the notice will provide rescheduling information.

Water Meters.

Following the electric meter installation, water meter devices, located on the exterior of the home, will be replaced. In most cases, we will only need to replace a module outside of the home.

What to Expect.

Commercial Meters.

Commercial customers are encouraged to schedule meter replacements. Call (855) 284-1126, Monday - Friday, 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. or Saturday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
