In an effort to help save water, a sprinkler audit shows you how to use your sprinkler system more effectively. An audit can help you learn about your sprinkler system, identify a leak, keep plants/trees alive and water more efficiently. Audits take approximately two hours (up to four hours for HOAs) and are scheduled on a first-come, first-serve basis weekdays from June through August.
Sprinkler audits include:
- visual inspection of each zone to identify problems
- tests that measure how water is being applied
- watering schedule guidance
- information about the lawn's seasonal needs for water
Audit does not include system repairs or adjustments. Sprinkler system must be turned on and in good working order.
To qualify for an audit, you must:
- live in a single-family home or represent an HOA
- be present for the entire appointment
- be a Fort Collins Utilities customer, including Fort Collins Loveland Water District customers, but not ELCO customers
