Zero-Interest Loans

No Interest on Home Efficiency Loans

You won't pay a cent of interest on loans for these home-improvements:

  • energy efficiency upgrades
  • water conservation projects
  • air quality improvement projects

Eligibility

Residential electric or water customers who own and occupy the home where the improvement is to be made are eligible. Water only customers are eligible for water and air quality loans, but not for energy efficiency loans.

Complete the loan application (PDF 240KB) and return to Utilities. For most applications, a selected bid for the cost of the work must be included. For energy efficiency upgrades, you must follow the steps of the Home Efficiency Program.

Projects can be combined. The maximum loan amount is $3,000, depending on the type of improvement.

A $25 loan-processing fee applies.

  • $500-$1,000: 24 months
  • $1,500: 36 months
  • $2,000: 48 months
  • $2,300: 60 months
