New Home Efficiency

  • Make a smart choice - ensure your home is energy efficient with ENERGY STAR.

A new home offers a great opportunity to capture energy savings and related opportunities at the lowest possible cost. A high-performing home offers better comfort, better indoor air quality, and lower maintenance and energy costs without increasing the cost of ownership.

To locate new homes that perform better than conventionally built new homes and existing homes, be sure to look for the ENERGY STAR® label. The City of Fort Collins is a sponsor of the Northern Colorado ENERGY STAR Homes program, which includes tools to find builder partners and a map that shows exactly where new ENERGY STAR Homes are available regionally.
