Eligibility & Steps

To be eligible, you must:

  • be a Fort Collins Utilities electric customer
  • have Utilities' Home Efficiency Audit completed on your home prior to making insulation and air sealing improvements. Audit must at least be scheduled prior to completing all other improvements.
  • have the work completed by a participating contractor. Homeowner installations do not qualify for rebates.
  • occupy a single-family detached home or an attached townhouse, which is at least one year old. Multi-family homes are not included.

Improvements that are part of new construction in additions and remodels do not qualify for rebates, with some exceptions. Contact Utilities for qualification.

Participating in Utilities' Home Efficiency Program is easy, just follow these steps:

  1. Contact Utilities to sign up for a Home Efficiency Audit.
  2. Select improvements from audit recommendations. Check out our available rebates.
  3. Select a participating contractor.

After your contractor completes the improvements and submits the rebate application, a rebate check will be issued directly to you in six to eight weeks.
