North Lemay Avenue Closed Jan. 23-Feb. 10 for Stormwater Improvements

Posted on: Jan-18-2017

A short section of North Lemay Avenue will be closed Jan. 23-Feb. 10 between East Vine Drive and Conifer Street as Fort Collins Utilities installs a box culvert and waterline as part of the ongoing Northeast College Corridor Outfall (NECCO) project. Access to the Alta Vista neighborhood will be maintained via Vine Drive.

NECCO will reduce flood risks for the area east of College Avenue and north of Vine Drive by improving water drainage. It also will eliminate flooding on Vine Drive during a 100-year storm event and remove some areas from the City floodplain.

Safety for residents, commuters, bike riders, pedestrians and work crews is a priority. Barricades and fences will be used to clearly mark areas of excavation. For your safety, please stay away from the barricades and follow all detours.
