New Loan Helps Local Businesses Make Affordable Efficiency Upgrades

Fort Collins Utilities now offers loans to small commercial building owners for energy and water efficiency upgrades, including solar PV.
The Business Efficiency Loan Program features no-money-down financing for up to 20 years, including a low 2.5 percent fixed interest rate for 2015.

Program highlights:
• loans from $1,000-$15,000
• 2.5 percent fixed interest rate (2015)
• repayment terms of 5, 7, 10, 15 and 20 years
• easy qualification - only requires good standing with utility bill payments

Eligibility:
• must have an active Fort Collins Utilities water or electric customer account in the name of the individual or legal business entity for the premise
• must be a Fort Collins Utilities water and/or small commercial (E200, E250 rate classes) building owner
• building can have only one electric or water meter
• all upgrades must begin with a pre-approval from Efficiency Works
