EnvirOvation Recognizes Environmental Leadership of ClimateWise Business Partners, May 13

The City of Fort Collins will celebrate the environmental stewardship of nearly 400 ClimateWise business partners at EnvirOvation, Wednesday, May 13, 3-5 p.m., Hilton Fort Collins, 425 W. Prospect Road.

EnvirOvation is an annual event to recognize ClimateWise partners’ achievements from the previous year. This event will celebrate the 15th year of ClimateWise and introduce upcoming changes for the program. Complimentary food and beverages will be provided. ClimateWise is a free, voluntary program that helps Fort Collins businesses reduce greenhouse gas emissions and save money. ClimateWise partners continue to make reductions in greenhouse gas emissions. During 2014, they implemented nearly 1,000 conservation projects and saved $15 million. Since its inception, ClimateWise partners have achieved a cumulative savings of $92 million and reduced greenhouse gas emissions by 1.3 million metric tons through transportation, energy and water saving measures as well as diverting waste from the landfill.
