Water Efficiency Workshop for Colorado Plumbers, Oct. 15

Fort Collins Utilities will host a workshop for plumbing companies, engineers, suppliers, building department officials, facility and property managers, housing officials, developers and remodelers. This half-day workshop will be held Wed., Oct. 15, 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m., Rocky Mountain Innosphere, 320 E. Vine Dr.

The focus of the workshop is on high-performance construction, including LEED, ENERGY STAR® and WaterSense. Also on the agenda are updates to Colorado’s new graywater and WaterSense fixture legislation.

Participants will learn about building design practices, technologies and regulations for water-efficient plumbing. A highlight of the workshop will be a hands-on demonstration about hot water design efficiency by nationally acclaimed hot water “guru” Gary Klein.
