Office Efficiency: Improving IT, Server Rooms and Cooling Systems, Oct. 15

Learn how an all-inclusive approach to commercial information technology (IT) equipment, server rooms and cooling systems can improve office efficiencies. Hosted by Fort Collins Utilities, Office Efficiency: Get Plugged In, targets contractors and IT and facility employees, 8:30-10 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 15, 215 N. Mason St., Community Room. Typically referred to as ‘plug loads,’ electricity usage from office equipment, computers, small IT servers and other electronics that keep businesses running are the fastest growing sources of energy use. Presenter Geoff Overland, CLEAResult, will provide proven energy-efficiency strategies and measures to reduce these loads.

Fort Collins Utilities offers a variety of rebates and incentives for office efficiency improvements, including:
• server virtualization
• ENERGY STAR ® labeled computers and desk lamps
• smart strips to control plug loads
• occupancy controls
• related space cooling equipment
