Fort Collins Utilities to Offer Two Trainings on Integrated Design Assistance

Posted on: Apr-10-2014

Fort Collins Utilities is offering two important trainings related to the new Integrated Design Assistance Program (IDAP). The program, based on the Architecture 2030 Challenge®, offers design, construction and performance incentives for both owners and design teams. Participating project teams set a Target Energy Usage Intensity (EUI) early in the project using ENERGY STAR® Target Finder, then design and build to meet that EUI. The final incentive is based on achieving the determined target. Trainings will be held April 16 and April 30.

The first training, Friday, April 16, will provide an overview of IDAP for design professionals, contractors, developers and building owners. Attendees will learn about the qualifying projects, application process, program requirements and incentive structure. The training will be held at 215 N. Mason St., Community Room, 8:30-10:30 a.m., and will feature a light breakfast.

A separate training for energy consultants, to be held April 30, will cover the program in more detail and is a requirement to be an Approved Energy Consultant.

For more information about the program and links to register for the trainings, visit fcgov.com/idap, email utilities@fcgov.com, call 970-221-6700 or TDD 970-224-6003.
