Business Innovation Fair Offers Regional Collaboration Opportunities, November 20

Posted on: Nov-01-2013

The 8th Annual Business Innovation Fair, Thursday, Nov. 20, 7 a.m.-3 p.m., Embassy Suites Loveland, 4705 Clydesdale Pkwy, offers a continuance of the discussion and momentum from the recent Net Zero Cities conference.

Business leaders and community members are invited to join the cities of Fort Collins, Loveland and Longmont, as well as ClimateWise and Platte River Power Authority, to learn how businesses along the Front Range address conservation and sustainability. Discussion also will involve collaboration efforts to rebuild post recent floods and fires.

Local experts will share tips and strategies on how organizations can decrease environmental impacts, create efficiency and reduce costs. Participants also will learn how to link energy, water, transportation and waste reduction efforts for bottom-line success.

This interactive event includes breakfast and lunch; workshops on education, innovation, engagement, waste reduction and sustainable building; and an exhibitor showcase of service providers and technology booths.

Pete Rusin, Colorado Energy Office, will provide a keynote lunch presentation, featuring the steps regional leaders are taking to create infrastructure recovery. Rusin also will discuss the State of Colorado’s efforts to rebuild sustainably in our region.

The Business Innovation Fair will conclude with a summary and implementation steps, followed by social networking and an exhibitor showcase, starting at 2 p.m.
