Local Emergency Declared

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The President of the United States and the Governor’s office has declared a disaster area for Northern Colorado. A local emergency proclamation has been signed by City Manager Darin Atteberry and sent to the Governor’s office. The City proclamation is based upon the current situation. It has been determined to be in the best interest of the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of Fort Collins that a local emergency be proclaimed and that the Emergency Operations Plan be activated.
