How to Read a TimePoint

City of Fort Collins Image A TimePoint is the minutes past each hour that a bus is due to leave a stop. The minutes listed next to some bus stops are TimePoints. Buses leave TimePoints hourly and repeat throughout the day during regular service times. Buses do not leave Time- Points before the times shown.

Not all bus stops have TimePoints. For the approximate time a bus arrives at these stops, look at the TimePoints that are before and after your stop. The bus will arrive between the two times shown.

Colored lines on the maps show the bus routes; arrows on the route and labels on the TimePoints indicate direction of travel.

Example: You want to ride Route 1 NORTHbound and the stop you wish to use is located between the TimePoint at College and Drake and the TimePoint at College and Prospect. The bus leaves the College and Drake TimePoint at :34 minutes after the hour. It leaves the College and Prospect TimePoint at :37 minutes after the hour. Therefore, you know a bus will arrive at your stop between :34 and :37 minutes after the hour. Plan to arrive at your stop 5 minutes before the earlier of the two Time- Points (:29 minutes after the hour) and enjoy the ride. It’s easy when you know how!
