Do CSU students have to pay to ride Transfort?
Transfort is a fee paid activity for ALL FULL-TIME, FEE PAYING CSU students. The CSU RamCard issued to students works as a Transfort bus pass and can be scanned at the farebox upon boarding. This service is made possible, in part, by a contribution from Associated Students of Colorado State University.
Do I have to pay to transfer buses?
No. Transfers are FREE. To transfer to another route, notify your bus operator when you get on. The bus operator will give you a transfer slip that has the time noted on it and is valid for 60 minutes. You may transfer to another bus ONLY-not back to the same bus. At most transfer points, connecting buses arrive within 15 minutes of each other. For information about transferring, call Transfort at 221-6620, or ask your bus operator.
Are Transfort buses wheelchair accessible?
Yes. Transfort riders are served by wheelchair accessible buses on all routes. Special transportation to and from other locations is available for ADA eligible patrons. For more information call Dial-A-Ride at 224-6066. LARGE PRINT, SPANISH AND BRAILLE BROCHURES ARE AVAILABLE BY CALLING TRANSFORT at 221-6620.
Can the bus make a special stop for me?
NO. Buses stop at SIGNED STOPS ONLY. For your safety, buses will not stop after pulling away from curb. Times listed on individual route maps are for selected stops; not all stops are listed with the maps. There are over 400 stops in the system. Buses will NOT leave earlier than the times listed in the route schedules. All routes are two-way unless one way travel is indicated by arrows. For your safety, please walk behind the bus so you can see oncoming traffic and the drivers can see you. For individual stop location information, call Transfort at 221-6620.
Are Transfort buses equipped to carry bicycles?
Yes, all buses are equipped with bicycle racks. Easy-to-use bike racks hold three bikes and are available on a first come, first serve basis. Only non-fuel-powered, two-wheeled adult and children’s bicycles weighing less than 55 pounds are allowed on the racks. Bicycles must be free of additional or oversized accessories and must not limit the driver’s visibility. There is no extra charge for using the bike racks.
