Former Colorado Gov. Bill Ritter, author of a new book on the energy revolution, will join Mayor Wade Troxell and City Manager Darin Atteberry at a public forum August 24 to discuss America’s energy future and how it relates to the City’s Climate Action Plan.
The event will be 6-8 p.m. at the Lincoln Center, Canyon West Room, 417 W. Magnolia St. The panel discussion will begin at 6 p.m.; an open house on specific Climate Action Plan strategies will follow from 7-8 p.m. along with a book signing event. CSU will sell books at the event.

Registration is now open for the City’s fourth annual Business Appreciation Breakfast September 7, which will feature Ryan Wood, co-founder of the Under Armour apparel company, owner of Sweetwood Cattle Co. in Steamboat Springs and former Dallas Cowboys fullback.
Breakfast will be 7:30-9 a.m. at the Marriott Fort Collins, 350 E. Horsetooth Road. The event is free, but due to limited space, registration is required at fcgov.com/business/rsvp by September 5.
The Business Appreciation Breakfast honors businesses for their contributions to a healthy Fort Collins economy. The event is sponsored by the City’s Economic Health Office.
