Spring Mulch Giveaway
Everyone remembers the October 2011 snow and wind storm that caused significant tree branch damage around the city. The City of Fort Collins Streets Department led clean-up efforts and collected over 21,000 cubic yards of branches. With a plan to prevent all of that material from going to the landfill, the City decided to store it and turn the branches into mulch for the community.
How to Get Your Mulch
Mulch is available to the public at no charge at the City’s Crushing Operations facility, located at 1380 Hoffman Mill Road. Mulch is available for pick-up, Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. The public will not be able to pick up mulch when Crushing Operations is closed.
