Recreation offers basketball for adults (ages 16 and up) as well as for youth. We have leagues, mini-leagues and tournaments offered throughout most of the year. Out youth programs develop a sense of team play where participation, fun, skills and sportsmanship are stressed.

New league for kids K-5.  League is for beginning basketball players. Basic skills are taught on a lower rim. 6 scheduled games; minimum 1 official per game. 2 practices per week. Games are Saturdays. Teams are randomly selected. Note: Players receive a Nuggets jersey and 2 tickets to a Nuggets game.

Your Junior Nugget could be a real Nugget one of these days!


The 2015 Fort Collins Freeze Competitive Basketball program will provide the youth of Fort Collins to compete in a competitive “club like” program that will compete in the City of Fort Collins Summer Basketball League in the Competitive Division.

NEW! Team are formed by skill level after tryouts (Top team, 2nd team, etc.).

Teams will be based on skill level with higher level palyers placed on the top team. Grades based on the 2014/2015 School year.

TRYOUTS: will be held April 16 6-8 p.m. for Boys and April 17 6-8 p.m. for Girls. Practices beginning April 18, 2015                  

Boys and Girls teams will be formed in the following age groups:
4th & 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th- Each league will be separated by Boys and Girls.

Fee $225 (NO hidden costs!) to attend tryouts. Players that are not chosen on a team will be refunded or given the option to register in the summer Recreation league. Fee partially reducible for those who qualify.

Youth who are chosen on a team will receive for your fee:
· Full uniform (jersey, shorts, t-shirt)
· Coaches (Paid qualified)
· 6 games plus end of season tournament in City of Fort Collins Summer Basketball Competitive League
·2 Power to Play or Colorado State Games summer tournaments (4 game guarantee), teams will play in divison appropriate for their level.  Participants will be responsible for transportation/lodging to out of town tournaments.
· 1-2 Indoor practices per week

Teams may choose to play in an additional summer tournament at the team’s expense.
