CITY COUNCIL/URBAN RENEWAL AUTHORITY

Monday, April 29 - City Council Adjourned Meeting
At 6 p.m., in Council Chambers at 300 Laporte Avenue, City Council will conduct an adjourned meeting. Agenda items include:

  • Discussion of items relating to the Foothills Mall - moving to May 7.
    City Council will be taking action to move two public hearings that had been planned for April 29 to May 7. On May 7, Council will conduct two hearings to consider (1) amendments to the Midtown Urban Renewal Plan to authorize the use of tax increment financing in the Foothills Mall area of the plan, and (2) amendments to the Foothills Metropolitan District Service Plan.
  • An ordinance to authorize the conveyance of a non-exclusive utility easement to Public Service Company of Colorado.
    City staff has worked with Public Service Company of Colorado (PSCo) over the past several months to determine the alignmentt of and mitigate the impact for a new 16-inch high pressure gas transmission line within city limits. Construction is expected to start in May, but there was continuing concern about the proposed location of the pipeline in private property at the northwest corner of Harmony Road and Shields Street.

Tuesday, May 7 - Urban Renewal Authority Meeting
The Urban Renewal Authority Board Meeting that had been scheduled for April 29 has been moved to May 7. the URA Board will consider the Foothills Mall Redevelopment and Reimbursement Agreement at that time.
