The City of Fort Collins has an ongoing commitment to efficient service delivery. Through constant process improvement and increased accountability, the City continues to improve how we do business.
Appropriate Role in the Economy
At the same time, the City of Fort Collins is playing an appropriate role in creating a healthy economy. In 2006 the City developed our first-ever Economic Action plan with the vision of creating a healthy economy reflecting the values of our unique community in a changing world. The City is helping to create primary jobs in targeted industries by supporting entrepreneurs and start-up companies and by supporting business expansion and retention.
Resourcing Our Future
Still, the City has well-defined, unfunded needs in:
- Street Maintenance - $6.5 million annually
- Police - $4.6 million annually
- Fire - $3.2 million annually
- Parks and Recreation - $2 million annually
