New trails and facilities
For outdoor enthusiasts, the City extended the Poudre River Trail from Taft Hill Road to Lion's Park in LaPorte, and completed construction of Soft Gold Neighborhood Park in north Fort Collins. And for the young people in our community, the dream of a gymnasium at the Youth Activity Center finally became a reality in 2004. For two years, a community group raised money to build the much-needed gym, and it opened in December.
