Green Meetings

Interested in "greening" up your meeting or event? By reducing waste and ensuring that materials are recyclable and compostable, it's easy to shrink the environmental footprint of your meeting or event. There are many types of green meetings, including Zero-Waste, carbon neutral, etc. Locally, there are several businesses willing to help plan and support your green events.

Most local caterers can support green events by providing food in bulk and in resuable containers. Some also will provide compostable dishes and flatware or reusable plates, cups, etc.

Hotels and conference centers often can provide reusable dishes and flatware for an additional fee.
