On the same property as the Larimer County Landfill, located south of Fort Collins on Taft Hill Rd. (about two miles south of Harmony Rd.).  Please refer to the Larimer County Solid Waste website for hours.

Also at the landfill are an e-waste recycling facility, and a recycling facility similar to the City's drop-off recycling site.

Collects used CFLs, incandescent and neon bulbs. Items are separated into their component parts and materials are recovered if possible. Accepts ballists, transformers, capacitors, batteries, electronics, mercury devices, PCB debris. Materials can be shipped. Call for more information. 

General Information

CFLs contain a small amount of mercury thus should be handled and disposed of differently than traditional incandescent bulbs. Fort Collins area residents have several options of recycling CFLs, including drop-off locations and mail-in service. See also: fluorescent lights.
