On the same property as the Larimer County Landfill, located south of Fort Collins on Taft Hill Rd. (about two miles south of Harmony Rd.).  Please refer to the Larimer County Solid Waste website for hours.

Also at the landfill are an e-waste recycling facility, and a recycling facility similar to the City's drop-off recycling site.

Waste Management's Think Green From Home program provides convenient options for residents to properly recycle CFL, batteries and electronics from home. Accepts all batteries that are 9-volts or less, does not accept lithium, lithium-ion and lead-acid. Users of this program pay small processing and shipping fees. Go online to order a recycling kit.

General Information

CFLs contain a small amount of mercury thus should be handled and disposed of differently than traditional incandescent bulbs. Fort Collins area residents have several options of recycling CFLs, including drop-off locations and mail-in service. See also: fluorescent lights.
