General Information
Thinking about doing a little foundation work, reconstructing the driveway, or just tidying up the yard of old cement chunks?
If so, you'll be happy to learn that a program has opened up to the public that will recycle those materials as road-base to go underneath the paving in city streets.
The City Streets Department accepts asphalt, rock and fill direct material from the public at no cost this year at its Hoffman Mill Road asphalt crushing plant. The plant is located in the area north of the Coloradoan newspaper's offices. To get there, turn east off Lemay onto Poudre River Drive (just north of Riverside) and follow the road one quarter mile to the end.
Materials accepted include: asphalt, concrete, cement logs from gas stoves and clean fill dirt (must be free of branches, trash and organic matter).
