Burglary Suspect Arrested

On Dec. 26 at approximately 6:00 p.m., Fort Collins Police Services arrested Keith Edgar Lubaski, 35, of Fort Collins, for 2nd degree burglary and Aggravated Motor Vehicle Theft, both class 4 felonies. 

Lubaski was driving a 2004 Toyota Tundra pick-up stolen yesterday morning from Painter’s Supply located at 1626 Riverside Ave.  Painter’s Supply was burglarized yesterday and a small amount of money, a computer, and keys to several company vehicles were taken which included the key to the Toyota Tundra.  An officer observed the stolen vehicle at Timberline Rd. and Charles Brockman Dr. and attempted to stop the vehicle.  The suspect fled on foot and was detained a short distance away.  Police recovered stolen computers belonging to Painter’s Supply and Signs Now from the truck. 

Police are continuing to work with Poudre Fire Authority to determine the cause of the fire. 

The criminal charges are only allegations and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
