Police Make Arrest in Pharmacy Robbery Case

Fort Collins police arrested 32 year-old Joshua Denny Johnson of Fort Collins in connection with the attempted robbery of a drug store in Fort Collins.
On April 11, 2012 at approximately 11:39 a.m., Fort Collins police responded to the report of a robbery in progress at the Walgreens located at 4502 South College Avenue in Fort Collins. Upon arrival, employees of the store told police that a white male entered the pharmacy area and demanded narcotics at gun point. When the employees were unable to provide the suspect what he demanded, the suspect fled the scene. No one was injured during the robbery attempt.
At approximately 12:45 p.m., Johnson approached police at the scene and identified himself as the robbery suspect. Johnson was arrested in connection with the robbery.
Johnson was booked into the Larimer County Jail for one count of Attempted Aggravated Robbery of a Controlled Substance and one count of Second Degree Kidnapping. His booking photo is not being released at this time pending further investigation.
The charges are merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
