Fort Collins Police Respond to YouTube Video

On Monday morning, March 26th, Fort Collins Police Services received several inquiries regarding a video posted on YouTube over the weekend.
The video, which was uploaded on Sunday, March 25th, shows a citizen contact and subsequent arrest in Old Town Square around 2am that morning. The incident stemmed from a reported criminal mischief to a bicycle taxi.
At this time, the police department is looking into the circumstances surrounding the incident – to include the actions of the officers, arrestee and bystanders before, during and after the events depicted in the video.

Charges: Obstructing a Peace Officer (Cited and Released)
The Fort Collins police officers involved in the contact are identified as Officer Kyle Bendzsa and Officer Dan Calahan.
