Fort Collins Police Services exists to enhance the quality of life in our community by providing quality, cost-effective service in the areas of law enforcement, public safety, and community well-being.

We firmly believe that citizens deserve to be treated with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, thereby recognizing their dignity. We believe that our employees sincerely strive to provide quality service to our citizens. We respect and encourage individual responsibility and talent, while recognizing that department members have an obligation to participate in managing our organization. Each of us also has the right to expect honest communications and fair treatment, as well as a responsibility to provide the same considerations to other members of our organization. We are committed to a positive atmosphere of encouragement, trust and mutual support.

As police employees, we are endowed with a special level of trust, and we are all equally responsible for establishing, preserving, and promoting integrity and ethical conduct. High ethical standards must prevail in all our interactions with citizens and with each other, and we must strive to avoid even the appearance of a conflict of interest or compromise of our standards.
