Field Supervisor(s) (Softball/Baseball Only):
A Parks and Recreation field supervisor will be assigned by the City sports staff to open and close each complex, to assist in emergency situations, and to make sure City equipment and facilities are utilized appropriately. Community parks require a field supervisor at each complex. (The 2003 rate of pay is $12.00/hour.) This fee is to cover the supervisor’s wage, F.I.C.A. ($.84), and worker’s compensation ($.43) to be in compliance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (F.L.S.A.). Event and league directors will reimburse the City at $12.00 per hour for the field supervisors assigned to their events or tournaments. Depending on size and locations of a tournament, multiple field supervisors may be required. This will be at the discretion of the Recreation Supervisor.
Tournament Directors Checklist (Softball/Baseball Only):
The City Field Supervisor will provide a checklist to all directors for each event. All items on the list are to be properly performed, filled in completely, and returned to the field supervisor at the end of the event. Failure to complete all sections of this checklist may result in additional charges.
