Game Times:
City outdoor sports facilities will be scheduled to provide sufficient time to properly prepare, maintain and care for the facilities. Example: Because of City’s “Noise Ordinance,” Park crews will not begin preparing any City ballfields until after 7:00 a.m., which requires that the first games begin no earlier than 9:00 a.m. Adverse weather conditions increase the time required to adequately prepare a playing area in a safe condition.

Game times are also impacted certain times of the year by staff availability and Daylight Savings Time. The Parks Division relies heavily on seasonal staff for field crews. The majority of “Seasonals” are not hired until school is out for the summer and are gone when school resumes each year. The availability of seasonal staff and the occurrence of Daylight Savings Time require us to utilize the following schedule.

*Note: No scheduled games can start after 9:30 p.m. This will allow directors to be off all
fields by the 11:00 p.m. curfew.
