FCx is a collaboration series with Code for Fort Collins where we'll dive into community-interest topics with "lightning talks" about what data are available and how the data are used to tell stories and solve problems. The talks will be followed by discussions about the topics and how else the data could be used (for example, could we use flood warning data to advise equity programs?). Come join us!
OpenData#
OpenData is a City of Fort Collins initiative to take transparency to the next level. The goal of OpenData is to maintain a web portal to host data sets that are available to the public in a format that citizens can easily search, filter, and utilize in innovative and creative ways. Making data available allows citizens to learn about the City, help make decisions, and be a part of creating solutions.
Governments at local, state, and federal levels are making public data more accessible than ever, hence the term “open data.” This openness allows residents greater visibility into all aspects of the City including finances, geospatial data, and a multitude of statistics. Open data is available online at any time and can be downloaded in a variety of formats.

Public Records#
The City of Fort Collins public records system contains over one million documents dating back to the 1800s.
Traffic Information#
View traffic information, including the latest road conditions, closures, and major projects in the City of Fort Collins.
Community Scorecard#
Community Scorecard is a collection of performance data and information that measures how well the City is doing in meeting its goals.
Demographic Information#
Demographics are the most recent statistical characteristics of a population. Commonly examined demographics include gender, race, age, disabilities, mobility, home ownership, employment status, and even location.
Stream Stage Report#
Rainfall and flood warning data come from remote automatic sensors across the City of Fort Collins. The readings are based on the location of the gauge sensors, which may not always be at the bottom of the channel.
Community Performance Measurement Dashboard#
The City of Fort Collins Community Dashboard is a quarterly snapshot of the community's progress in attaining key outcomes.
Development Proposals Under Review#
The development review site provides data about all the current development proposals under review and includes location, applicant and description information.
