Lincoln Avenue Closure Starts July 29 to Start Woodward Utilities Connection

Lincoln Avenue between Third Street and the Lemay Avenue intersection will be closed for two days starting Monday, July 28 at 7 a.m. as crews start electric utilities connection work. Lemay Avenue will remain open to traffic over the duration of construction, although lane restrictions will be in place. Southbound vehicular traffic will be reduced to one lane of traffic.

Access to businesses and residences on Lincoln Avenue will be available during the closure. Please follow detour signs. Pedestrians and bicycle connectivity will be allowed. Please observe and obey all traffic control signage and construction personnel.

Project dates are estimates based on favorable conditions; variances may occur due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. Additional Woodward-related road improvements are scheduled to occur in August 2014. Check current schedule and details at fcgov.com/woodward.

Typical working hours are weekdays from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.; however, work may occur outside these times or on weekends to expedite the project.
