College Avenue Transportation Study - Midtown in Motion - Seeks Public Input

Released on Tuesday, July 15, 2014

The City of Fort Collins invites the community to help us shape the future of College Avenue. The City has launched an interactive website survey at midtowninmotion.com to provide an opportunity for you to share your ideas on ways to transform College Avenue. Feedback will be collected through August 15, 2014.

College Avenue is the most traveled thoroughfare in the City of Fort Collins and the majority of the street design is over 50 years old. Recognizing College Avenue needs an update, the City, working in partnership with the Colorado Department of Transportation, set out to identify the vision for transforming College Avenue between Prospect and Harmony Roads, including the frontage roads and connections to MAX stations.

Midtown in Motion is the second phase of the Midtown Plan and was launched at the end of 2013.  It is the implementation step stemming from the Transportation Master Plan.  Among the goals of the Midtown in Motion plan are to develop design concepts that increase mobility and safety and transform College Avenue into a “world class” street. Community input on how we can improve College Avenue for cyclists, pedestrians, and cars collected through the online survey will help us define this vision.
