Transfort, the City of Fort Collins’ public transportation provider, is rolling out numerous new rider tools and technologies that will make accessing Transfort’s bus information and alerts easier than ever. A refreshed look to the Transfort website, ridetransfort.com, and a new mobile app, Ride Transfort, are more closely aligned with the transportation provider’s strategic vision of providing easy, modern transit.
While printed schedules will still be available for all routes, information about predicted bus arrival times is available through numerous tools easily accessed anywhere by the community. Arrival information is provided for nearly all Transfort fixed-routes including the MAX bus rapid transit service and FLEX regional service.
Customers can obtain real-time bus and other information using:
Enhanced Website: See when a bus is arriving using “find a bus time” or view where a bus is at using “track your bus” using our recently updated website (www.ridetransfort.com). The new site offers a clean, modern design with easy to navigate functionality.
Mobile App: “Ride Transfort” app is free to download on iTunes and Android app stores. Links to download the app are also provided at ridetransfort.com. This app is part of Transfort’s continuing effort to meet users where they are on whatever device they are using to connect them with their transit options in Fort Collins.
Automated Phone System: Transfort’s customer service line, 970.221.6620, is now automated and provides route information 24/7.
SMS Texting: By texting “tfort” and a stop # to 41411 and riders will get real time bus arrival information sent back to them (message and data rates may apply).
Service Bulletins and Alerts: Subscribe to receive service bulleting and alerts for sent via email or text from our website or mobile app (message and data rates may apply).
MAX Stations: Real-Time information is available at all MAX stations. Signage and audio announcements let passengers know the real-time arrival for the next bus. Stations are also equipped with video surveillance.
All bus stops have unique stop numbers posted at each stop location and through the new rider tools. Stop numbers can be used to see bus arrival times, select favorite stops, and receive alerts for a particular bus stop.
WiFi: Free WiFi is provided to the public on the MAX and FLEX routes, funded by Transfort and serviced by FRII.
Plan your Trip – Coming Soon!
Planning your bus trip using Google and Bing Transit will be available soon. Once this technology is live within the next several weeks, the community can plan a transit trip just like for vehicle trips. Simply enter a starting location and end destination, choose the bus icon, and view options for using a bus to complete your trip. The trip planner will also include RTD system information; plan a trip to Denver or Boulder using Transfort and RTD.
This new technology will supplement Transfort’s ongoing customer service at facilities and information centers. In addition to these new tools, riders can still purchase Transfort tickets or passes, pick up printed schedules and routes, and receive general Transfort information at any of these facilities:
